Initially, the user accesses the Server Connection page to establish a link with the central system. Next, the user is directed to the Password Entry page for authentication. Following this, the VIN Number Input page is presented, where the mechanic enters the vehicle identification number to register the truck within the system. Lastly, the Vehicle Details page prompts for the vehicle name and VIN number, allowing a check to confirm if the system is properly connected to the truck.
Once the application is set up, the driver is ready to use the system. The process begins with the first screen, which establishes the connection. If there is no internet connection, a modal will pop up with options to Refresh or Close the application Following that, the driver is prompted to enter a password on the second screen. If the password is incorrect, an error message will be displayed. This screen also includes several key options for the driver to access, such as Device Information, Vehicle Information, Dispatcher, and a selection of Languages. Additionally, the driver can verify if the truck displayed is the one they will be using, ensuring accurate alignment between the vehicle and the system, which helps to avoid any potential confusion or errors during operations
While the driver is still in the garage preparing to head to the residential area for garbage bin pickups, the application provides a map feature that allows them to choose between viewing the entire area or focusing on the specific route they will take. The driver selects the zone they will clean and presses start, initiating the route. This flexibility ensures that drivers can plan their journey effectively, whether they need a broader overview of all collection points or detailed navigation for the route ahead. By having access to both map options, drivers can optimize their routes, enhancing overall efficiency in the waste collection process.
As the driver arrives at a residence to pick up garbage bins, the application displays a 3D map showing the street layout. Yellow pins represent bins at residences that need to be picked up, while green pins indicate those that have already been collected. If there's an issue with a bin at a residence, the driver can access a simple form with selection options to report the problem. Additionally, the driver can take a picture of the garbage bin to document the issue, ensuring clear communication and efficient resolution during the collection process.
When it's time for the driver to return to the dump site, the process includes a few important steps to ensure accurate documentation. The driver is required to enter the ticket number and the weight of the collected garbage into the application. To further verify the transaction, they can take a photo of the receipt directly from the app. This streamlined process not only keeps records organized but also provides a clear, digital audit trail for each trip to the dump site, ensuring accountability and transparency in waste collection operations.
The application includes a feature that allows the driver to open a panel for checking all relevant information and logging out of the application. If something goes wrong with the truck due to an extended stop, a message will appear on the screen, providing the driver with several options to select from for troubleshooting. Additionally, to enhance security and efficiency, the application is designed to automatically log out the driver after one hour of inactivity.
