I designed the onboarding process to be user-friendly and efficient, allowing users to either create an account or log in using their Gmail, Facebook, or LinkedIn credentials, complemented by a helpful advertisement on the right side. For existing users, accessing their workspace is straightforward—simply select the workspace icon. New users are guided through setting up their workspace, which includes entering a workspace name, uploading a logo, and providing a description. To enhance clarity, I created a timeline feature that visually guides users step by step through the onboarding process, making it easy to follow along.
Once the workspace is established, users can easily search for and select cameras, aided by instructional videos to enhance their understanding. The search functionality is robust, ensuring that users can find their cameras as long as they are online. Additionally, users can upload a map to pinpoint camera locations and then proceed to select a payment method for pricing. After configuring these settings, users can choose individuals to share access with before navigating to the dashboard for a comprehensive view of their security environment.
When I first began conceptualizing the dashboard for ArcadianAI, the owner shared an intriguing inspiration—Tetris. She envisioned the dashboard as a flexible grid where elements could fit together in various sizes, depending on their importance. This concept shaped the idea of displaying multiple camera feeds on one screen, with larger feeds emphasizing critical areas while smaller ones offered an overview.
To enhance usability, I incorporated features that allow users to resize, drag, and drop video feeds, creating a custom layout tailored to their needs. A filter feature was added for easy video searches, enabling users to sort by options like "All" or "Cameras." For a deeper dive, users can click on any video feed to expand it to full screen for detailed monitoring.
Additionally, the platform includes AI-driven assistance, allowing users to interact with the system more intelligently. Users can open an AI chat option to quickly search videos by selecting visual elements in the footage, such as "person," "jacket with glasses," or by typing specific attributes like "tall." The AI rapidly brings up relevant video clips, streamlining the search process and enhancing efficiency.
This customizable, interactive experience empowers users to adapt the dashboard to their unique preferences, making it both dynamic and intuitive.
The video player within the ArcadianAI platform is designed with a range of simple yet powerful features to enhance user interaction and control. Users can effortlessly change the name and icon of each tab by simply clicking on the three-dot menu associated with the tab, enabling quick customization and personalization. This intuitive navigation structure ensures that users can move seamlessly between workspaces while tailoring their experience to suit their specific preferences and needs.
In the user profile section, I designed a comprehensive interface that allows users to modify a range of options, including their full name, timezone, email, phone number, and preferred display mode (dark or light).
